Managing natural resources
In the Democratic Republic of Congo, a natural resource management plan was initiated as part of an REDD+ (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation) programme to protect and promote the world’s second largest tropical forest.
In this trial project covering 30,500 sqkm and involving around 850,000 people, Egis and WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature) are helping the inhabitants of 161 localities to plan sustainable natural resource management methods.

Egis participated in a government capacity building project in the agricultural sector for sustainable land use, water resources, value creation and improved food security.
